DIY: Gallery Wall

Moving to New York meant a totally blank, empty space, and I {Gabi} could not have been more excited to start decorating my new apartment. My favorite thing we did in the apartment was the gallery wall above the couch in my living room. It started out with a few pictures and prints that I had collected and kept from “decorating” my various collage rooms/apartments in Nashville, and quickly grew as I found more and more great prints online. My roommate Alix and I had so much fun picking out different prints and frames to mix and match on the wall, and now that our collection had grown, we knew it was time to start.

First we measured the area of the wall that we wanted to fill, and recreated these dimensions on the floor by marking with tape. We then laid out the framed pictures in the area on the floor until we figured out the perfect design. With the help of our handyman (thanks Andy!) we hung the pictures up, replicating our placement on the floor. Since everything shifted a bit once it was up on the wall, we ended up having extra space and filled it with some more of the prints we had as well as a few new ones, and the whole wall came together perfectly! SCL UPDATE

We had the BEST, but busiest, summer, so as we spent more and more time working on some amazing new projects, we spent less time than we wanted on the blog. From the Hamptons to Hawaii and back to Disney, here is a quick update on SCL this summer! And so much more to come as we keep working on exciting new things! LUCK + LOVE

Hamptons

One of our favorite stores Alene Too opened up a pop-up shop this summer in Southampton, and we couldn’t be happier to have a huge display there!

Hawaii: Maui & Hualalai

Our biggest trip of the summer was to Hawaii for two trunk shows at the Four Seasons Maui and Four Seasons Hualalai! We are SO excited to have SCL at the gift shops of these amazing hotels, and our week in Hawaii definitely felt more like vacation than work!

Unique LA Favorites

We had the best time selling SCL at the Unique LA show, but that didn’t stop us from shopping the rest of the market! Here are some of our favorite new companies that we got to see and meet.

Hometown Jersey

Hometown Jersey was just across from us at the show, and we couldn’t help stopping by a few times! We love everything custom, so of course we had to get a few of these sweatshirts!

Seoul Little

We love Seoul Little because they have the cutest minimal jewelry! We got some necklaces and rings that are perfect for stacking and layering with other jewelry.

Pences Design Studio

Pences has the cutest cards- we were obsessed with these LA traffic ones!

Shop Miguez

We loved the luggage tags/keychains from Shop Miguez, and anything can be customized too!

Studio Mucci

We have been huge fans of Studio Mucci for a while, so when we found out they were going to be at Unique we were SO excited! Our entire booth was decorated with Studio Mucci tassels, but we’re obsessed with their tassel balloons too!
